RYDER CUP – EPGA 2023 – SINGLE MATCH
Dear EPGA members, students and golfers,
On the occasion of the 44th Ryder Cup with official rounds taking place on September 29 – October 1, 2023 at Marco Simone golf course, Rome, Italy, EPGA launches the tournament “RYDER CUP – EPGA 2023 – Single Match” on the same Marco Simone Golf & Country Club golf course but virtually on EPGA’s Trackman technology practice range.
PRIZE
- Group A champion – 1-month EPGA membership card (valued 13,590,000 VND)
- Group B champion – 1-month EPGA membership card (valued 13,590,000 VND)
- Group C champion – 1-month EPGA membership card (valued 13,590,000 VND)
COMPETITION QUALIFICATIONS
- The Tournament is open to all Vietnamese and foreign male & female golfers
- Does not apply to professional athletes and members of the Vietnam National Team
- Competition Divisions include:
DIVISION A | For Golfers with handicaps from 00 to 16 |
DIVISION B | For Golfers with handicaps from 17 to 25 |
DIVISION C | For Golfers with handicap of 26 or higher and players without an official handicap |
*The Tournament applies information from the V-handicap system. If a golfer has more than 1 official V-Handicap, the lower handicap will be used to compete in this tournament
Tee off regulations:
- Tee Blue – Green (6296 yards) applies to male golfers 12 years and older
- Tee Red – Red (5744 yards) applies to female golfers of all ages & male golfers under 12 years old
TIME AND PLACE
- From September 29 – October 1, 2023
- Golfers will compete on the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club virtual golf course on the Trackman technology practice range at EPGA
ATTENDANCE FEE
- No additional fee to participate in the tournament
- To participate in the competition:
- Members: use the practicing ticket according to the daily practicing benefit in the membership package.
- Retail customers & students: buy TMR practice tickets at the Reception or use the TMR practice ticket which included with the golf lesson package.
PARTICIPATION STEPS
- Step 1: Register to participate at the reception (or with the operator in the practice area) – by filling out the registration form.
- Step 2: Download the Trackman application to participate in the game and save scores in your personal account
- Step 3: EPGA staff at the practice lane will set up “the game” with all registration information of players (log in to the golfer’s Trackman account, select the golf course, enter handicap number, choose the right tee, turn off Mulligan mode…).
- Step 4: After completing the round, please contact EPGA staff to confirm and save the round’s score.
- Step 5: EPGA will summarize the scores and competition results after 3 days, along with confirmation from the players then announce the final results.
REGULATIONS
- Stroke play format – ranked by Division.
- Apply auto putt on Trackman.
- Register the correct handicap number on the registration form and in the round settings on the Trackman screen
- Absolutely do not use Mulligan mode (replay mode for each shot).
- EPGA staff will set up the “game” for participating Golfers and confirm result after the Golfer completes the round.
- After completing the round, Golfer kindly takes a photo of the score card to compare with the best round result according to the Trackman range management system recorded by EPGA.
- When there is a tie for the champion of the divisions, the Organizing Committee will use the scoreboard countdown method in the following order:
- 6 Final holes
- 3 Final Holes
- 1 Last hole of the course (hole 18)
- If after the countdown the result is still tied, random drawing will apply.
OTHER NOTES:
- Golfers do not use other alternative golfer during the round (the organizers could check the surveillance camera system at the practice lane to confirm the validity of the round).
- The Organizing Committee has the right to cancel the Golfer’s round results after detecting the illegal playing situation. Golfers please pay attention to ensure fairness in your competition round.
- The management system of Trackman range – EPGA will be used at the same time to check competition results and select the best round of each participating Golfer to arrange divisions and to calculate scores.
- If the software crashes or suspend during competition, please contact EPGA staff at the practice lane for support (check and confirm technical errors, reinstall the game so Golfer can restart with a new round…).
